Please use the information below when preparing your oral presentation for The 41st International Congress of the Korean Society of Spine Surgery.

PREPARING YOUR PRESENTATION

NOTE: The only supported format for presentations is PowerPoint (PPT). If your presentation is in another format, please bring a copy to the preview room and prepare it in PowerPoint format as a backup. Please note that Internet access will not be available during your presentation.

* ATTENTION* APPLE MACINTOSH USERS: Please be aware that AV equipment and computers prepared on-site are ONLY Microsoft Windows-based and do not support macOS.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PRESENTATION

Please submit your presentation material following the guidelines below. All oral presenters can upload their presentation files on our website starting April 11th.

Advance Submission

Presenters will be able to submit their PowerPoint files on our website prior to the conference using Attendee Interactive. Please use the same account you used to submit your abstract(s). If you forgot the account ID or PW, please send email to the secretariat (program@ksss2024.org). Advance submission of your presentation files online is strongly encouraged by May 11 (Sat), 2024 (Korean Standard Time).
If you want to revise your file, please visit the preview room with your final presentation material at least 2 hours prior to the session.

Presenters who submit their presentation files online will have a faster check-in at the Preview Room.

How to Upload Presentation Material

Please read the instructions carefully to upload your presentation material following the next steps.

  • 1. Select the abstract number.
  • 2. Check that your abstract title and name are correct.
  • 3. Choose the file and upload your presentation material.
  • 4. Click the Apply button to complete the submission.

Onsite Submission

It is very important that you check in at the Preview Room, regardless of whether you uploaded your presentation prior to arrival. The Preview Room is in the foyer of Emerald Room (2F) the day before and a minimum of 2 hours before your Session, to submit your files and to preview your presentation.
If you are checking in on the same day as your session, please arrive at least 2 hours before the start of your session (Note: this refers to the session start time, not the presentation start time). The Preview Room technicians will assist with uploading your files and provide the opportunity to preview and/or edit the presentation as necessary.

PREVIEW ROOM

Checking in at the Preview Room is the most important step you will take to ensure a successful presentation. The Preview Room is in the foyer of Emerald Room(2F), located next to the Crystal Ballroom(main conference room). You are required to check in at the Preview room at least 2 hours prior to the start of your SESSION regardless of whether you uploaded your presentation prior to the meeting.

Hours of Operation:
Thursday, May 23, 2024 07:00-16:00
Friday, May 23, 2024 7:00-15:30

Computers will be available in the Speaker Ready Room running PowerPoint enabling you to make changes to your presentation, print out notes, and practice presentations. When reviewing your presentation in the Preview Room, make sure all fonts, images, and animations appear as expected and that all audio or video clips are working properly.

The computers in the conference rooms are the same as the computers in the Preview Room. Therefore, if the presentation does not play properly in the Preview Room, it will not play properly in the conference room.
Presenters will not be allowed to use their own computers for their presentations. Presentations will need to be checked in at the Preview Room and will be loaded onto each computer by the technicians. If you need to use a personal computer, please inform the Secretariat in advance and remember to bring your own adapters and equipment to the on-site.

If the presentation cannot be transferred to one of these before the show, the technicians in the Preview Room will transfer the presentation from your computer on site.

DURING YOUR PRESENTATION

Each session room will be staffed with an AV technician who will assist in starting each presentation. Once the presentation is launched, the presenter will control the program from the podium using a perfect cue or computer mouse.

POWERPOINT TIPS

PPT Slides Presentation should be in a landscape orientation with a screen ratio of 16:9.
KSSS 2024 Presentation Template is available on our website.

Fonts

Please use general and basic fonts for compatibility. Fonts Arial and Helvetica are recommended for clarity and compatibility. If you want to use special fonts, you should submit the fonts with your presentation material. Use a font size of AT LEAST 24 points for body text and 36-40 points for headings. Confirm that the maximum number of lines in text slides is no more than 6 or 7.

Images

If you copy the images to the clipboard and then Edit / Paste them into PowerPoint, the images will not be compressed and the PowerPoint file can become very large. To avoid this, insert them directly into PowerPoint (Insert / Picture / from File).
